Aardman Exhibition Comes to Paris!
Visitors to the French capital are in for a treat this Spring, when a new exhibition of Aardman's finest work arrives in Paris! 'Aardman, Art That Takes Shape' comes to the city's Art Ludique Le Musee at the Quai d'Austerliz. Running from 21st March until 30th August 2015, the exhibition is dedicated to all things Aardman and will feature over 30 film sets and 400 drawings, many of which have never been seen before by the public!
The exhibition has been created in close collaboration with Aardman, so you can expect lots of amazing eye candy to feast on, from Wallace's cracking contraptions to sets from Shaun the Sheep The Movie. Take a close look at some of Aardman's most intricate and impressive models, including Gromit's famous vegetable garden, the flying machine from Chicken Run and the 5 metre-high galleon ship from Pirates! An Adventure With Scientists!
As well as stunning models, fans can also get an insight into the artistic processes involved in bringing characters to life in animation through over 400 concept drawings, watercolours and storyboards, as well as delving into Nick Park's student sketchbook and discovering his very first illustrations of Wallace & Gromit.
As visitors walk around the exhibition they'll also have a chance to take a look at classic clips from Aardman movies, shorts and adverts. This really is a comprehensive and interactive guide to the colourful, imaginative world of Aardman, so if you find yourself on the other side of the channel during the spring and summer, be sure not to miss it!
