2015 is going to be a very BIG year for Shaun the Sheep! Not only is he starring in his own movie in early 2015, but it has just been announced that 120 individually designed giant Shaun statues will be popping up in central locations in both London and Bristol in the UK!
‘Shaun in the City’ follows on from the phenomenal success of Gromit Unleashed trail which attracted a whopping 1.8 million visitors and raised £4.5 million for Bristol Children’s Hospital. This time it’s Shaun’s turn to take centre stage for an arts trail that will see the popular character popping up at key locations, first in London and then in his home town of Bristol.
Shaun in the City was unveiled by Shaun the Sheep creator Nick Park at a special launch event in Parliament Square, London. Surrounded by six specially commissioned models (which will feature in the trails next year), the launch gave an exclusive taster of what to expect when Shaun in the City arrives in the capital in March 2015.
28th March – 25th May 2015
6th July - 31st August 2015
When the trails end there will be a grand auction which will see each Shaun go to a permanent new home. Funds raised through the auction will go to Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, which helps to provide special care and treatment for poorly children across the UK.
