If you're looking for ideas for the February half term break, look no further! To tie in with the release of Shaun the Sheep The Movie, there is a host of fun activities taking place across the country, from modelmaking sessions to outdoor events at National Trust properties - we've rounded up what's happening where to help you plan a baa-rilliant holiday!
See Shaun on the big screen
If you're going to save seeing the Shaun Movie for half term, you can find out where and when the film is showing using a handy app on the Studio Canal website. Add your location and the app will send you a reminder on Facebook or email as soon as tickets go on sale, a great way to ensure you don't miss out seeing the film on your preferred date! If you fancy combining your cinema visit with a bite to eat, McDonald's restaurants will be serving Shaun the Sheep The Movie Happy Meals, and some branches will be adding to the fun with interactive Shaun floor games.
Enjoy a host of activities at the National Media Museum
There's lots of Movie fun taking place at the National Media Museum in Bradford, Yorkshire. Take a special Shaun trail around the museum, try the blue screen in the Experience TV Gallery and star alongside Shaun in a fun chase sequence, plus 'meet and bleat' some of the folk behind the movie. Aardman model-maker Jim Parkyn will also be on hand to show you how to create your very own clay Shaun to take home, and you can watch the movie at the museum's cinema. There are some other fantastic drop-in activities to take part in too, from creating a character for the museum's farmyard to trying your hand at stop-motion animation. Most of the activities are free and run throughout the half term week. Find out full details here.
Make a Shaun the Sheep top knot at Hobbycraft stores
Hobbycraft stores across the UK will be holding Shaun-inspired crafting sessions on selected weekends throughout February, including half term (on the 15th and 21st February). During the free sessions you'll get to enhance a Shaun the Sheep headband with some fluffy pom poms, creating a very special piece of head-wear. You can then share a picture of you wearing your creation using #shaunthesheepmovie to be entered into a competition to win some Shaun goodies! If you can't make it to a Hobbycraft store, don't worry - you can make a top knot at home following the instructions on the Hobbycraft website.
Try your hand at modelmaking
